Funding Application

Making an Application

  1. Applications for funding must be made on an WSEF application form, which can be obtain from one of the following:
  1. Each application must have the following attached:
  • Full cost breakdown and two supplier quotes
  • Your organisation's resolution to apply for funds
  • Bank deposit slip
  • Copy of latest audited Financial Statements
  • Copy of Certificate of Incorporation (if applicable)
  1. Written notification will be sent to all applicants within 10 days of receipt of the application.
  2. The Funding Assistance Committee (FAC) will be meet to consider all applications.
  3. All applicants will receive notification in respect to the status of their application either approved or declined once the FAC has met.
  4. Purposes and expenses are not funded as per the DIA Guidelines which can be viewed via their website.
  5. All applications are subject to availability of funds, the merit of the application, compliance with the WSEF Authorised Purpose and the overall community benefit.  

Funding Assistance Committee

  • Applications will be considered by the Funding Assistance Committee (FAC) which will consist of not less than three of the current Trustees.
  • Applications will be considered as per the WSEF Authorised Purpose.
  • The FAC will meet on the last Friday of every month during 2008.

Review of Grant Process

  • WSEF will undertake an annual review of the grants processes and criteria.
  • This review will be conducted annually in October and the results published on this web page one month following.

Approved Applications

  1. Approved applicants will receive payment (full or in part) by direct debit to their bank account.
  2. Approved applicants are to provide copies of receipts/invoices for goods/services paid with the funds WSEF provided within three months of the completion of the project.
  3. All approved applications will be audited by WSEF and/or the DIA to ensure funds have been spent correctly.

Complaints

  • Should you wish to complain about an unsuccessful application you may write to the Trust Chairperson, Water Safety Education Foundation, PO Box 10456, Wellington.
  • Complaints about the conduct of gambling at our venues or the conduct of WSEF may be made to the Secretary of Internal Affairs.
